Yamaichi Denki KK ( Japanese 山 一 電機 株式会社 , Yamaichi Denki kabushiki kaisha ; English Yamaichi Electronics Co., Ltd. ) is a Japanese manufacturer of electromechanical electronic components.

history

The company, founded in 1956 (6941: JP), is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange in the first section. The company's headquarters are located in Minami-Kamata in Tokyo's Ōta-ku district.

A merger with SMK Corp., planned for September 2009. was canceled in November 2008.

Locations

The group has several production plants in Asia and one in Europe ( Frankfurt (Oder) ). The European sales headquarters and the European design center for product development are located in Munich , to which a branch in Sousse (Tunisia) is connected. The plant, which was built in Frankfurt (Oder) in 2005, produces test adapters for semiconductor components as well as embedded modules (computer-on-modules). In addition, connectors, cable assemblies, ribbon cables (FFC), spring contact pins, complete assemblies and customer-specific developments are manufactured. Various manufacturing technologies are used, such as plastic encapsulation, resistance welding, CNC turning and milling. Product applications can be found, for example, in the fields of semiconductors, industrial automation, automotive, data networking, measurement and testing technology, medical technology, and mobile computer technology. In spring 2019, the production site in Frankfurt (Oder) was expanded with the construction of a new plant. Production at the new location started on schedule in April 2020.
