Yamanouchi Pharma

The Yamanouchi Pharma GmbH was the German subsidiary of the Japanese pharmaceutical company Yamanouchi Pharmaceutical .

The company has existed under this name since 1994. This was preceded by the acquisition of the pharmaceutical division of the Dutch company Gist-brocades by Yamanouchi Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. in 1991. This was continued from March 1991 to 1994 under the name Brocades Pharma. In 1994 all of Yamanouchi's subsidiaries were renamed to this name.

Yamanouchi Germany was incorporated into Yamanouchi Europe with its seat in Leiderdorp / NL.

The seat of the German branch was in Heidelberg .

On April 1, 2005, the parent company Yamanouchi Pharmaceutical merged with Fujisawa Pharmaceutical to form Astellas . The subsidiaries were merged in the course of 2005.
