Yang Chen ( Chinese : 杨晨, Yáng Chén) (born January 17, 1974 in Beijing ) is a former Chinese football player .
Career
Yang Chen started his career at Beijing Guoan . For the 1998/99 season he was awarded to the Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt . Yang was the first Chinese player to play in the Bundesliga. After the season he was signed by Eintracht Frankfurt and signed a three-year contract. After his contract ran out, he moved to FC St. Pauli , which he left after a season to return to his home country. From 2003 to 2007 he played for the Chinese first division clubs Shenzhen Jianlibao and Xiamen Lanshi and then ended his career.
With the Chinese national team , he took part in the 2002 World Cup in South Korea and Japan . Since January 12, 2015, Yang Chen has been the team manager of the Chinese second division team Beijing Enterprises.
