Yang Ermin
Yang Ermin ( Chinese 杨佴旻 , Pinyin Yáng Èrmín ; * 1964 in Quyang County , Baoding City , Hebei Province , People's Republic of China ) is a Chinese painter.
Life
Yang received his PhD from Nanjing Art School ( Chinese 南京 艺术 学院 ) . During a 20-year experimental phase since the beginning of the 1990s, he worked with the means of the traditional technique of ink painting on rice paper. Today, however, Yang not only uses the inks in their different shades of black, but also uses colorful, but not too garish ink colors.
Yang teaches today at the Institute for New Ink Techniques of his alma mater in Nanjing . He is visiting professor at Hebei University in Baoding . He is responsible for a culture website in Beijing : artsbeijing.com .
Yang has exhibited successfully both in China and abroad. His work is shown in various museums in China, Japan and the USA.
