Yannick Riendeau (also Yanick Riendeau ; born October 25, 1984 in Montréal , Québec ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Ducs de Dijon in the French Ligue Magnus since May 2015 .

Career

Yannick Riendeau began his career as a hockey player in the Canadian Junior League QMJHL , in which he was active from 2001 to 2005 for the Voltigeurs de Drummondville and Acadie-Bathurst Titan . The winger then moved to Division 1 , the second French division, in which he made his professional ice hockey debut for Hockey Club Limoges in the 2005/06 season . After a season with his league rivals Montpellier Agglomération Hockey Club , the right-handed shooter also played for a year for the Chamonix Hockey Club , Étoile Noire de Strasbourg and HC Amiens Somme in the Ligue Magnus . During his time in Strasbourg, the Canadian was elected to the All-Star Team of the French top division in 2009.

For the 2010/11 season Riendeau signed a contract with the Ducs de Dijon from the Ligue Magnus.
