Yao Aziawonou Kaka (born November 30, 1979 in Lomé ) is a former Togolese football player . He's playing in the midfielder position .

Aziawonou began his career in his hometown with Étoile Filante de Lomé before moving to FC Nantes in France for the 1997/98 season. Here he attended the football boarding school of FC Nantes. After one season he moved to FC Sion , after only one season he changed club again, this time he was hired by FC Wangen . For the 2000/01 season Aziawonou moved, then to FC Basel in the Swiss Super League , where he stayed for two seasons. He played 24 competitive games (16 in the Super League , two in the Swiss Cup and six in the UEFA Europa League ). He was loaned to FC Thun .
In the summer of 2002 he definitely moved to Thun, but after only one season with the Bernese Oberland, Aziawonou moved to league rivals Servette Geneva . But even here he only played one season. For the 2004/05 season he came to the Young Boys , but since the coach no longer bet on him in the 2006/07 season, Aziawonou was loaned to FC Luzern in September 2006. Since FC Luzern did not want to sign him permanently during the winter break, he returned to the Young Boys . In March 2007 he suffered a cruciate ligament rupture during the international match against Sierra Leone and therefore the contract with the Young Boys was not renewed. Aziawonou left Bern and tried it in Winterthur.
National team
Aziawonou was part of the 2006 African Cup of Nations in the Togolese squad, but where they failed in the preliminary round.
He has so far (as of September 2009) completed 34 international matches and scored one goal. With Togo , he managed to qualify for the 2006 World Cup , where he was regularly used in the World Cup qualification.
