Yasin Houicha

Yasin Houicha (born in Grigny ) is a French actor .

Life

Houicha, who came from the Paris suburb of Grigny, grew up in the newly built district of La Grande Borne . There he first attended the elementary school (École élémentaire publique) Le Belier and then switched to the Cóllège Jean Vilar . He completed his school education with a professional baccalaureate in sales. Houicha was already interested in the theater during school and joined 1000 visages in 2013 , an association that promotes young talents from the banlieues in particular . In 2014 he received his first film role in the short film Règlement de conte by Fatma Benyoub . This was followed by other roles in short films such as Caramel surprise by Fairouz M'silti or F430 by Yassine Qnia .

He achieved great fame through his role as Samir in the 2015 film Divines by Houda Benyamina . At the Cannes Festival 2016 , Divines was awarded the Caméra d'Or for best debut film . Houicha became known to the television audience through the lead role of Sham in the mini-series Cannabis by Lucie Borleteau, which was broadcast on Arte in 2016 . In May 2017 he was on stage in the La Loge theater in Paris in the play #JeSuisLeProchain by Mickaël Délis . The play was then performed in the Grand Parquet theater in Paris .
