Franziska Kaufmann (born November 3, 1987 in Unterseen ) is a former Swiss curler . Most recently she played second in Binia Feltscher-Beeli's team .

Career

She started her international career as second on the Swiss team at the 2007 Junior World Championships , where she came in fifth. Two years later she won the bronze medal at the 2009 Junior World Championships with the Swiss juniors led by Skip Martina Baumann .

In 2010 she took over the position of second in Binia Feltscher-Beeli's team. At her first World Cup in 2014 , she won the gold medal with the Swiss team after beating Canada (Skip: Rachel Homan ) in the final . In the same year she won the European Championship with this team ; in the final the Swiss defeated Russia (Skip: Anna Sidorowa ).

In 2016 she won her second gold medal at the 2016 World Cup . With the same line-up as in 2014, the Swiss defeated the Japanese team around Skip Satsuki Fujisawa in the final . At the European Championships in 2016 , she came in sixth place.

In April 2018, she announced her retirement from curling in order to pursue other life goals.
