Yasmien Yuson Kurdi , married Kurdi-Soldevilla (born January 25, 1988 in San Juan , Metro Manila ) is a Filipino actress and singer.

Life

Kurdi is of Lebanese-Kurdish origin on his father's side and Filipino-Chinese on his mother's side. She spent her childhood in Kuwait . She went to the Jabriya Indian School in Kuwait and graduated as a nurse at the then private New Era College , now University, in Quezon City .

Kurdi has played numerous roles in Filipino film and television and has received several awards. She became famous as Charming in the series Bakekang . In the epic series Amaya she played the main supporting role Apila. The series and television shows were broadcast by GMA Network .

As a singer, she released her first album In the Name of Love in 2005 , highest ranked: No. 6 on the Philippine Billboard 200 . Her second album Love Is All I Need was released in 2008 and topped the list: 10th place on the Philippine Billboard 200. Her music style is assigned to pop music , especially Original Pilipino music (OMP), one of the successors to the Manila sound .

In addition to her artistic work, she is a PETA activist. She is married to Roy Soldevilla, a pilot with whom she has a daughter.
