Yasmin Lee (* 3. June 1984 as Yasmin Kosal Sim in Thailand ) is a transsexual American actress , a model and former porn actress .

biography

Yasmin Lee is of Thai , Cambodian, and Chinese descent. Before her family immigrated to California , she spent part of her childhood in the Philippines . At the age of 18, she joined the United States Navy , but soon left because of the policy of don't ask, don't tell . She then worked as a drag and make-up artist, occasionally also for actresses and music video shoots. Because of transphobic incidents, she then switched to the porn industry, where she found work as an assistant and casting director. After one of the actresses did not show up for a porn film shoot she was in charge of, she made her debut as a porn actress. Her porn film career lasted until 2012 and, in addition to two nominations for the AVN Award, also included dozens of porn films.

She became known to a wider audience when she appeared on television shows such as Maury and The Tyra Banks Show . Her best-known appearance to date was the transsexual prostitute Kimmy in the 2011 comedy film Hangover 2, directed by Todd Phillips .
