Yasuaki Katō ( Japanese 加藤 泰明 , Katō Yasuaki ; born April 10, 1976 in Shizuoka Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Katō learned to play soccer on the school team at Shimizu Commercial High School . He signed his first contract with Nagoya Grampus Eight in 1995 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . In 1995 he won the Kaiser Cup with the club . In 1996 he was runner-up in the J1 League with the club. For the club he completed six first division games. At the end of 1997 he ended his career as a football player.
