Yasudsch or Yasudj ( Persian یاسوج Yāsudsch , DMG Yāsūǧ ; English Yasuj ) is the capital of the province of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad in southwestern Iran .
According to calculations in 2012, the city had a population of around 117,000. Yasudsch Airport is located here .
In 330 BC BC Alexander the great triumphed near Yasudsch in the battle of the Persian gates .
