Yasuhiko Tachibana

Yasuhiko Tachibana ( Japanese 立 花 泰 彦 , Tachibana Yasuhiko ; * 1955 ) is a Japanese jazz musician ( double bass ).

Yasuhiko Tachibana played in the late 1970s in the big band Toshiyuki Miyama and New Herd, with whom the first recordings were made ( So Long Charles ). In the 90s he was a member of the band Betsuni Nanmo Klezmer , with whom he recorded three albums in 1995/96. In the 2000s he was a member of the Mato Quartet , with Carlo Actis Dato , Keisuke Ohta , Marcello Magliocchi ; with Dato and Ohta he also played in the trio TAO ( Tomorrow Night Gig , 2002) and at the Fonomanie Festival in Bari in the Japanese-Italian formation The Chromatic Spy(album of the same name 2003). In the field of jazz he was involved in eight recording sessions between 1979 and 2002. From the 2000s he continued to work with Takeshi Shibuya , Kunihiro Izumi and as a studio musician with the Hello! Project .
