Yaypan is a city (shahar) in the Uzbek province of Fargʻona in the Fergana Valley and the capital of the district of Oʻzbekiston .

The city is located about 80 km west of the provincial capital Farg'ona and about 20 km southwest of the district-free city of Qo'qon . The Yaypan station on the Qo'qon- Konibodom line of the Uzbek Railways ( O'zbekiston Temir Yo'llari ) is about 12 km north of the city. The Great Fergana Canal runs through the northern part of Yaypan .

In 1975, Yaypan received city status. According to the 1989 population census, the city had 15,984 inhabitants, according to a calculation for 2010, the population was 22,115.
