Yehudi Menuhin School

The Yehudi Menuhin School is a music school in Surrey , England . The violinist Yehudi Menuhin founded it in 1963.

The small school teaches around 60 students between the ages of eight and eighteen. The children need outstanding musical talent and play at least one instrument: usually a string instrument or the piano . Of course they are also taught in the other subjects, but music is the most important. That's why they get a lot of time to practice on their instruments and many lessons to develop their special musical skills in classical music .
