Yi Zhongtian
Yi Zhongtian ( Chinese 易 中天 , * 1947 in Hunan Province ) is a historian and professor at the Humanities Institute at Xiamen University .
Life
In China, Yi Zhongtian became known through his Lecture Room (百家 讲坛) on the Chinese state television China Central Television (CCTV). In historical TV series such as The 100 Philosophical Schools or Yi Zhongtian commenting on the Three Realms , he has been bringing ancient Chinese history to a broad audience in an entertaining way since 2005. While his books - for example the chat about the Chinese or notes about historical personalities - are selling well, the professor and TV star is accused from academic circles of "vulgarizing" history.
