Yoan Granvorka (born November 26, 1997 in Morges ) is a Swiss / French basketball player .

career

Granvorka's half-brother Frantz, his father Séverin were French volleyball players, his mother Mireille played volleyball in Switzerland. Yoan Granvorka played basketball at Morges Basket and volleyball at VBC Cossonay as a teenager . At the age of 16 he decided in favor of basketball and switched to the youth movement of the French club Sluc Nancy . Granvorka played there until 2017, but did not make the leap into Nancy's men's team.

In the summer of 2017 he took part in a trial training session at the NBA club Phoenix Suns  . His originally submitted application for the draft of the North American League, he withdrew.

In August 2017 he was signed by the Swiss national league team BBC Monthey  . In April 2018, Granvorka registered again for the NBA draft process and again had his name deleted from the list in June 2018.

During the summer break of 2018, he moved within the National League from Monthey to Union Neuchâtel Basket .
