Yonen Buzz

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Yonen Buzz is a manga- style comic series by the German illustrator Christina Plaka and the sequel to Prussian Blue . The predecessor was published by Carlsen Comics , Yonen Buzz was published after a change of publisher of the illustrator of Tokyopop from March 2005 and was completed in January 2012 with the fifth volume. Both works have also been published by Tokyopop USA.

The series had a very long cycle time because the author studied Japanese studies in addition to drawing .

history

In terms of content, the story begins about two years after Prussian Blue . The band is about to sign a record deal , but Sayuri (singer, guitarist) hardly has any time for rehearsals because of her music studies and a part-time job. Her friend Jun (singer, songwriter) also suffers from it. In addition, the band members disagree about their future careers. While Jun and Atsushi (bass) want to remain an underground band, Keigo (drums) and Saiyuri want to become known and later be able to make a living from their music.

Name change

Due to the change of publisher, the series had to be renamed for licensing reasons. In addition, the publishing house decided in October 2005 to rename the name of the band Prussian Blue , which plays the leading role, from the second volume onwards to Plastic Chew . The reason for this is the singing duo Prussian Blue , who publish racist and Nazi songs in the USA . Christina Plaka and Tokyopop don't want to be associated with this band.
