course

York Road begins in Northam, about 100 km northeast of Perth city center . There it branches off the Great Eastern Highway (N94) as a continuation of the Northam Toodyay Road (S120) to the south-southeast and leads to York . There it meets the Great Southern Highway coming from the west and passes its name on to it as State Road 120.

York Road - now without a number - leads east-southeast and after 65 km reaches the small town of Quairading , where it ends. Other main roads lead from there to the east, to Bruce Rock , and to the southeast, to Corrigin .
