Yoshino Hideo

Yoshino Hideo ( Japanese 吉野 秀雄 , born July 3, 1902 in Takasaki , † July 13, 1967 ) was a Japanese writer.

Yoshino began studying at Keiō University , but had to drop it off because of tuberculosis. During this time he began to write under the influence of Masaoka Shiki and Itō Sachio Tanka -verses and became a student of Aizu Yaichi .

In 1926 he published his first volume of poetry Tenjo gishi , which was followed by others such as Taikeishu , Sobaishu and Kansenshu . He also wrote essays such as Yawarakana Kokoro and Korokono Furusato . Due to his always poor health, he had little contact with the contemporary Tanka school around the magazine Araragi , but developed his own style, trained on poets such as Masaoka Shiki and Ryōkan .
