Yoskar Sarante
Yoskar Sarante (born January 2, 1970 in Santo Domingo , † January 28, 2019 in Orlando , Florida ), known as El Prabu , was a Dominican Bachata singer.
Sarante performed in his childhood as a street singer with his father, who accompanied him on the guitar. He participated in various children's singing competitions, including the Mundo Infantil , and then joined the meregue group International Grupo Melao .
He then turned to the movement of the nueva bachata and released his debut album El Prabu in 1994 , further albums follow every two years. Bachata classics such as Llora Alma Mia and Perdoname come from him . Sarante died in 2019 of complications from pulmonary fibrosis.
