Yōta Shimokawa ( Japanese 下 川 陽 太 , Shimokawa Yōta ; born September 7, 1995 in Osaka Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Yōta Shimokawa learned to play football in the youth teams of Aspergas Ikoma FC and Aspergas FC and in the university team of the Osaka University of Commerce . He was loaned from the university to Matsumoto Yamaga FC in 2017 . The club from Matsumoto , a city in Nagano Prefecture in the center of Honshū , the main island of Japan , played in the second highest league in the country, the J2 League . As a youth player, he played eight times in the second division. After the loan, he was firmly signed by the second division team in early 2018. The 2019 season he was loaned to league rivals Ehime FC in Matsuyama . For Ehime he completed 37 second division games. In 2020 he also moved on loan to the second division Zweigen Kanazawa in Kanazawa .
