Younger Brother is a British band formed in 2003 by Simon Posford ( Shpongle , Hallucinogen ) and Benji Vaughan (Prometheus). Their first album A Flock of Bleeps was released in 2003, followed by Last Days of Gravity in 2007. Both musicians were already known in the past through various projects in the psytrance area and founded a joint project with the intention of creating a new musical genre to conceive, which can best be described as the amalgamation of different psychedelic music styles from several epochs. Although the two musicians only produced electronic music in the past, they decided to include elements from other genres in this project, especially psychedelic rock music. Since they didn't have any other band members at the beginning, they played all the musical instruments themselves. Later, Ru Campbell (vocals), Marc Brownstein (bass), Tom Hamilton (guitar) and Joe Russo (drums) joined the band.

The record cover of the second album The Last Days of Gravity was designed by Storm Thorgerson , who made a name for himself by designing record covers for many well-known bands, especially Pink Floyd . This album is the only album by the band that was also released as a vinyl record. Due to the limited circulation, the LP version of this album is sold at a very high price on the used market.
