Yousouf "Black Diamond" Falikou Fofana (born July 26, 1966 in Divo ) is a former Ivorian football player .

Fofana, who started club football at the age of 12, played at ASEC Mimosas in his home country when he was young . At the age of just over 17, he left the Ivory Coast to move to Europe. He spent most of his career in France, especially at AS Monaco , where he played for eight years. The other stops were Girondins de Bordeaux and AS Cannes . At the end of his active career, Fofana moved to Al-Nasr Sports Club Dubai .

Fofana has long been considered the greatest idol of his homeland. Because of its excellent technique, the left foot was nicknamed The Dribbler , but was also referred to as The Black Diamond . Only Didier Drogba , who led his country to the 2006 World Cup as the leading player , managed to outshine Fofana's fame in Ivory Coast.

Fofana is now the sporting director of his home club ASEC Mimosas.
