Amicale Sportive des Employés de Commerce Mimosas , better known under the abbreviation ASEC Mimosas or ASEC Abidjan for international games , is an Ivorian football club in Abidjan .

The club, founded in 1948, dominates the Ivorian championship and has already won over 20 championship titles and several cup successes. In addition, he won the CAF Champions League in 1998 and then succeeded in the African Supercup.

The association is internationally known for its excellent youth work. In 1993, Jean-Marc Guillou set up a boarding school on the Mimosas' training grounds, where the young people receive schooling, receive medical care, and train and play regularly. During Guillou's time as coach at KSK Beveren , many young players moved there in order to recommend themselves to other clubs in the Belgian First Division . Many former players such as Kolo Touré , Aruna Dindane , Salomon Kalou , Didier Zokora , Yaya Touré , Emmanuel Eboué and Gilles Yapi Yapo support the boarding school.

ASEC Mimosas was often the backbone of the Ivorian national soccer team , as was the case in 1992, when the Africa Cup was won with players like Abdoulaye Traoré and Donald-Olivier Sié . For the 2006 FIFA World Cup , however, were for the sake of civil war, considered active player only abroad.
