Career

Career start at home and move to Belgium

Iddi began his active career as a football player in his native Ghana at the Feyenoord Academy football club , which is also the largest football academy in Ghana. There he went through the various youth league classes and finally came into play in the men's team, to which he belonged up to and including 2009. Then he moved to Belgium , where his brother had been active for some time. The younger Abdul-Ganiyu Iddi also came to KV Mechelen , where he signed a contract until 2011 after a long test phase in the summer of 2009. After initial problems in obtaining a license to play, Iddi was finally brought into the professional team on August 28, 2009 for a league game against VV St. Truiden . In the game he was finally substituted in for Joachim Mununga in the 82nd minute, making his professional debut for the Belgians. He then completed another three league games in the 2009/10 season , in which he was used, among other things, in a total of twelve friendly games in which he scored three goals. Furthermore, he was able to record a use in the Belgian Cup of the season 2009/10 , in which the team made it to the semi-finals and there was just eliminated from the current competition against the KAA Gent .

On August 31, 2010, Iddi injured his buttocks and thighs while exercising; later diagnosis revealed a torn muscle fiber and a tear in the adductors , which made him fall out for several weeks. In the 2010/11 season , Iddi, who is also active for the club's second men's team, was only used in a championship game. He also played four goalless friendlies. On January 9, 2011, he was seriously injured again while training and is out for several weeks. After failing to assert himself in Belgium, he returned to Feyenoord Academy in June 2011 . In January 2012 Iddi signed a loan agreement with ASEC Mimosas and returned to Fetteh at the end of 2012.
