Joachim Mununga (born November 30, 1988 in Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve ) is a former Belgian football player of Congolese descent.

As a player

Kwame Mawuena learned to play football in the youth department of Standard Liège and later in the youth department of RE Mouscron . In 2006 he became a professional footballer at AFC Tubize and played there for one season. He then moved to KV Mechelen in the 2007/08 season . After being under contract there for four years, Mununga moved to Turkish first division club Gençlerbirliği Ankara during the winter break of the 2010/11 season . There he only came to sporadic missions and could not fight for a regular place. Therefore he moved back to his home country Belgium for the Antwerp club Beerschot AC for the 2012/13 season . But just a year later he joined RAEC Mons . From 2014 to 2016 he played for the Israeli club Maccabi Petach Tikwa . He then moved to Italy to AS Viterbese Castrense and ended his active career there in 2017.

As a trainer

Since October 18, 2018 Mawuena has been assistant coach of the Belgian second division club Oud-Heverlee Löwen . Before that, he had already trained the U-19s and was briefly assistant coach of the club's reserve team.
