Emmanuel Eboué (born June 4, 1983 in Abidjan ) is a former Ivorian football player . He was used as a defender and as a midfielder.

Career

Eboué started his career at ASEC Abidjan . In 2002 he was hired by KSK Beveren , where he stayed until 2004. He finally moved to Arsenal on January 1, 2005 , with which KSK Beveren works. An injury to right-back Lauren Eboué became a regular player in the middle of the 2005/06 season and stayed that way for the rest of the season. For the 2011/12 season , coach Arsène Wenger no longer planned with the Ivorian. Then Galatasaray Istanbul signed him for four years. After the 2014/15 season he left Galatasaray.

In March 2016, Eboué signed a contract until the end of the season with the English first division club AFC Sunderland after eight months of absence . There he was released again after 22 days at the end of March, after FIFA suspended him for a year due to outstanding payments to a previous advisor. A move to the North Cypriot first division club Türk Ocağı Limasol, which was planned in September 2017, came to nothing after the medical examination revealed abnormalities in the blood count.

Eboué played 79 times for the Ivorian national football team . From 2006 to 2013 he participated in five African Championships and the World Championships in 2006 and 2010 .
