Franck Manga "Did'dy" Guela (born June 19, 1986 in Abidjan ) is an Ivorian football player .
He plays in the position of the left winger. So far, Guela has played three games for the Ivory Coast national team , with one goal.
Club career
Guela began his career with the Académie de Sol Beni , the reserve team of ASEC Mimosas , in his native Ivory Coast. Then he went to South Africa for the Mamelodi Sundowns . There he was able to draw attention to himself through good performances, so that he finally moved to Europe . Even at his first professional stations in Greece , Guela performed well. The Croatian top club Dinamo Zagreb became aware of the fast winger and signed him for the 2007/08 season. Here, however, he could not prevail and moved back to Greece to AE Larisa . There he came through good performances in the sights of some clubs from Germany , including the MSV Duisburg and Arminia Bielefeld . However, after he rejected the trial training offered by the Duisburgers, they lost interest in Guela. Finally, in the summer of 2009, after his contract in Larisa ended, he moved to Arminia Bielefeld in the 2nd Bundesliga for free . After the relegation of Arminia, Guela was without a club for an entire season. For the 2012/13 season he was committed by the Bulgarian first division club and champion Ludogorez Razgrad . He was used there regularly, but terminated his contract at the beginning of 2013. In summer 2013 he was hired by Apollon Smyrnis in the Greek Super League . At the end of the 2013/14 season , he had to relegate his team. He then moved to the United Arab Emirates.
Others
- Guela is considered a very fast and tech-savvy winger who can be used on the left side.
- His nickname is "Did'dy". Under this Guela wanted to appear after his move to Arminia Bielefeld. However, due to the regulations of the DFB , which only allow registered artist names as jersey names, this was not possible.
