Youssef Maziz (born June 24, 1998 in Thionville ) is a French football player . He is under contract with FC Metz and plays on loan with US Avranches .

Career

Maziz began playing soccer at Thionville FC . He later switched to the FC Metz youth academy before joining the U-15s of the amateur club CSO Amnéville . In the B-youth (U-17) Maziz returned to FC Metz. He played in the reserve team from August 2015 , and finally made his debut in professional football in the first division season 2016/17 . As a promoted team, FC Metz managed to stay in league this season, with Maziz only playing one game this season and otherwise being used in the reserve team. In the following season, at the end of which FC Metz relegated to Ligue 2, he was denied further assignments. However, Maziz received his first professional contract on June 14, 2018.

In July 2018 it was awarded to the third division US Avranches .
