Yume Kitamura ( Japanese 北 村 夢 , Kitamura Yume ; born December 23, 1995 in Tokyo Prefecture ) is a Japanese athlete who specializes in middle-distance running.

Athletic career

Yume Kitamura gained her first international experience at the Indoor Asian Championships 2016 in Doha , where she was disqualified in the final. In 2018 she took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta for the first time, where she finished fourth in 2: 03.88 m. In addition, she reached fifth place with the Japanese 4 x 400 meter relay in 3: 34.14 minutes.

In 2017 and 2018 Kitamura became the Japanese champion in the 800 meter run . She graduated from Nippon Sport Science University in Tokyo .
