Yury Kharchenko ( Russian Юрий Харченко / Juri Chartschenko , * 1986 in Moscow , Soviet Union ) is a German-Russian painter . He lives and works in Berlin .

Life

Kharchenko grew up first in Moscow and then in the Rhineland . Between the ages of 13 and 15, the Russian artist and poet Vilen Barsky ( Russian: Вилен Исаакович Барский / Wilen Issaakowitsch Barski ) gave him private lessons in Dortmund. From 2004 to 2008 Kharchenko studied painting with Markus Lüpertz and Siegfried Anzinger at the Düsseldorf Art Academy , where he graduated with a diploma. From 2011 to 2012 he was in the Ph.D. -Study course at the University of Potsdam , where he researched the subject of art philosophy in the postmodern era, taking into account Jacques Derrida and Emmanuel Levinas .

His works are part of collections such as the Museum Kunstpalast Düsseldorf, the State Collection Düsseldorf, the art from NRW Aachen and the Felix-Nussbaum-Haus in Osnabrück.
