Yusuf Ziya Günaydın
Yusuf Ziya Günaydın (* 1949 in the district of Aksu , Isparta ) is a Turkish architect and politician . He was mayor of the city of Isparta for a total of 15 years .
In 1975 Günaydın graduated from Istanbul Technical University in the field of engineering . A year later he founded the company Günaydın A.Ş. Proje Çizim ve İnşaat Uygulama firması .
In 1999 Günaydın came to the head of the province in southern Turkey with Milliyetçi Hareket Partisi (MHP), but in 2004 had to admit defeat to the AKP candidate . In the local elections in 2009 he won with 38.82% against Hasan Balaman and was confirmed in office five years later. In the elections on March 31, 2019 , he had to leave this to the AKP, whose candidate won by almost 10,000 votes.
Günaydın is married and has three children. He speaks good German.
