Yves Raguin

Yves Raguin ( 1912 - December 9, 1998 in Taipei ) was a French sinologist and Jesuit . He was a leading authority on Chinese religion and the spirituality of the East and West.

Together with other Jesuits, he founded the Ricci Institute in Taiwan's capital Taipei in 1966 and was its director until November 1996.

During his time, work on the extensive Chinese-French dictionary Le Grand Ricci was completed.
