Yvo Molenaers
Yvo Molenaers (born February 25, 1934 in Herderen , Belgium) is a former Belgian cyclist and later sports director .
Molenars began his professional career with the Belgian cycling team Plume Sport and rode for various teams until the end of the 1967 season. His greatest victories included winning stages at Paris – Nice in 1960, the Tour de Suisse in 1961 and the overall ranking of the Tour of Luxembourg in 1963. He also achieved top placings in the classics . He came second at Milan – Sanremo in 1962 and third at Paris –Roubaix 1964 and second and third at Gent-Wevelgem 1964 and 1961 respectively.
After his active career, he worked as a sports director. In addition, he has been the owner of a hotel in Herderen for 40 years .
Molenars is the father-in-law of former cyclist Valerio Piva .
