Yvonne von Deschwanden

Yvonne von Deschwanden-Steinmann (* 1954 ) is a Swiss politician ( FDP ).

Life

Deschwanden grew up in Hochdorf , where she also attended schools. She finished the teacher training college in Hitzkirch with a high school diploma. From 1975 to 1980 she was a secondary school teacher in Buochs . Then she worked as a family woman and for her own printing company and from 1987 as an employee in her husband's electrical company, where she was responsible for finances and human resources. Since 2008 she has been working for the electrical and IT company CKW Conex AG in Lucerne .

From 1994 to 2006 she was a member of the district administrator , which she presided over in 2005/06. She was co-president of the intercantonal hospital commission Nidwalden / Obwalden and six years leader of the FDP parliamentary group . She has been a member of the government of the Canton of Nidwalden since 2010 . They officiated there as a health and social Director and as Deputy Director of Education and was in office year 2013/2014 Landammann the canton of Nidwalden.

Deschwanden is married and has a grown daughter. She lives in Buochs.
