Res Schmid (born February 25, 1958 in Interlaken ; legal resident in Wimmis ), bourgeois Andreas Schmid , is a Swiss politician ( SVP ).

Life

Schmid completed an apprenticeship as a toolmaker from 1974 to 1978, and in 1978 he trained as a military pilot and became a test pilot . After the Swiss Air Force in the early nineties, multi-role combat aircraft of the type McDonnell Douglas F / A-18 Hornet had bought Res Schmid was the first pilot who steered such.

He lives in Emmetten , where he took over the presidency of the local section of the Swiss People's Party in 2001.
