Toshimasa Adachi ( Japanese 安達 敏 正 , Adachi Toshimasa ; born September 3, 1952 in Yamagata , Yamagata Prefecture ; † August 9, 2020 ), known by his ring name Zaōnishiki Toshimasa ( 蔵 玉 錦 敏 正 ), was a Japanese sumo wrestler . He made his professional debut in September 1970, and reached the top tier for the first time in November 1976 . His highest rank was maegashira 1. He retired in January 1983 and became an elder (Toshiyori) in the Japanese Sumo Association under several consecutive names. He reached the mandatory retirement age for elders of 65 in September 2017, but remained an advisor with the Sumo Association for an additional two years.

Zaōnishiki announced in 2014 that he had undergone treatment for lung cancer. He died of multiple myeloma on August 9, 2020 at the age of 67 .
