Zacchaeus from Horrich

Zacchaeus from Horrich (* 1561 , probably on the Horrich estate; † November 13, 1633 in Cologne ) was a priest and official in the Archdiocese of Cologne .

Enrolled at Cologne University on May 6, 1587, he enrolled on May 14, 1589 to study law at the university, but was then enrolled again on May 14, 1591 at the University of Cologne. He completed his studies with a Dr. jur. and a Dr. jur. utr. from. Since 1606 Electoral Councilor, he was appointed Archbishop's Official on November 30, 1611. From June 20, 1617 to December 20, 1619 also rector of the University of Cologne, he became canon in Cologne on June 20, 1626. After his death he was buried in the vestibule of St. Gereon (Cologne) , where he was also a canon and since June 6, 1614 a scholaster .
