career

Wells studied at UCLA , where he was on the team from 1999 to 2003. At the 2004 MLS SuperDraft , he was drawn first in the third round by the MetroStars . As a substitute behind national goalkeeper Jonny Walker , he was only used twice in the first season. After Walker had to undergo an operation in 2005, Wells fought for the regular place in the gate.
