Life

Cale's music ranges from folky ballads to more traditional guitar instrumentals influenced by blues and American roots music. He is also active in the field of pop music . Cale released four albums within six years, including See-Saw in 2008 with his band Illuminations . He toured the USA and Europe, where he only accompanied himself on the western guitar at most concerts. On his studio productions and at some concerts he can be accompanied by The Rain Band , whose line-up changes frequently.

Cale and his music have often been compared with greats in the genre such as Bob Dylan , Townes Van Zandt , Neil Young or Leonard Cohen , with the online magazine Pop Matters  even calling him the "best singer-songwriter working right now".

In addition to his work as a musician, Cale runs the record label All Hands Electric , on which the bands Virginia Plain , The Gang Violets , Plates of Cake and many others have already released LPs.

In the fall of 2012, Cale toured Europe after playing the UK's End of the Road Festival in early September  . In 2014 a longer European tour followed, in August 2015 his latest album Duskland was released .
