Zafarullah Khan Jamali ( Urdu ظفر اللہ خان جمالی; * January 1, 1944 in Dera Murad Jamali in Balochistan ) is a Pakistani politician.

He comes from the influential Jamali family, who already played a role in the Pakistani struggle for independence. He studied history at Government College in Lahore , where he took his master's degree. In 1970 he joined the Pakistani People's Party . In 1977 he was elected to the regional parliament of Balochistan and then appointed Minister of Food, Information and Parliamentary Affairs of Balochistan.

In the 1980s, Zafarullah Khan Jamali was a member of the Pakistani government under General Zia ul Haq , representing the information, judiciary and parliamentary affairs department. In 1985 he applied unsuccessfully for the office of Pakistani Prime Minister, instead becoming Minister of Water and Energy under Prime Minister Mohammad Khan Junejo. In 1996 he became Prime Minister of Balochistan.

On November 21, 2002 he was elected Prime Minister of Pakistan. After lengthy arguments with President Pervez Musharraf , he resigned on June 26, 2004.

Politically, he is considered a middle-class man. In terms of party politics, he changed over the course of his political career from the Pakistani People's Party (PPP) to the Pakistani-Muslim League (PML) and from there to the Pakistani-Muslim League Q (PML-Q) .

Zafarullah Khan Jamali is married and has three daughters. He speaks English and the regional languages ​​Urdu, Punjabi, Sindhi, Pashto and Balochi.
