Zagarzazú is a town in Uruguay .
geography
It is located in the area of the Department of Colonia in its southwestern part in sector 6 . The place borders with its southwest side directly on the transition area of the Río Uruguay in the confluence of the Río de la Plata . The next larger settlements in the area are Carmelo in the southeast and Nueva Palmira in the northwest. The mouth of the Arroyo de las Víboras is also located around three kilometers northwest of the village .
