Zamęcin

Zamęcin ( German  Sammenthin ) is a village in the Gmina Choszczno administrative district of the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship .

Geographical location

The village lies in the Neumark , about six kilometers south of the city Choszczno ( Arnswalde ) and 62 kilometers south-east of the regional capital Szczecin ( Szczecin ).

history

The village was already mentioned under the name Sammentin in a document from 1282 issued in Königsberg in the Neumark , in which the Margraves of Brandenburg confirmed its possessions to the Kolbatz Monastery , with the exception of the villages of Arnswalde and Sammentin, which had to give up it.

The region came under Polish administration after the end of World War II .
