ZamBeef Products PLC is a public company based in Zambia .

ZamBeef belongs to the food industry. It produces, processes and sells products made from beef, chicken, eggs, milk and dairy. The product lines are called ZamBeef, Zamchick, Zamchick-Egg, Zamchick-Inn (snack bar: Chick'n Chips), ZamMilk, ZamSip (yogurt, quark etc.), ZamShu (shoes). ZamBeef has a wholly-owned subsidiary Zamleather Limited .

Every year ZamBeef slaughters 60,000 cattle, produces eight million liters of milk with 900 dairy cows, breeds 3.5 million chickens, produces 20 million eggs, harvests 44,000 t of feed, processes 70,000 hides per year. ZamBeef has five slaughterhouses, three meat processing plants and 82 butcher shops in Zambia, seven Zamchick-Inn fast food outlets and a fleet of 200 vehicles such as tractors, combine harvesters and trucks. ZamBeef farms 2,100 hectares of irrigated land and 1,500 hectares of non-irrigated land.

Zambeef was founded in 1994. At that time it employed 60 people and slaughtered 2,160 cattle per year. In 2006, ZamBeef had a market capitalization of $ 70 million based on prices. It is the largest meat producer south of the Sahara and employs 7,000 people. It also operates 195 grocery stores in Zambia and West Africa .

The slaughterhouses are remote in Mongu , Senanga , Namwala , Chipata and Chisamba , as are the huge feed farms on the Kariba reservoir and Chisamba. The butchers, on the other hand, are all on the tourist route in the south and so are the Chicken-Inns in the Copperbelt . In the north and northwest there are no ZamBeef facilities except in Kasama .
