The magic worm , also known under the name Fips, the magic worm or Wurliwurm , is a toy made of the fabric chenille and has a barely visible nylon thread . With the help of the thread it is possible to move the worm and make it do tricks.

Magic worms were a cult toy in the 1970s / 80s and were especially popular with children. However, they are also currently available. They are made in various colors. Today there are two manufacturing companies: Fun Promotion BV, Loosdrecht , Netherlands and Tobar, Norfolk , UK . The products differ only marginally. Tobar's worms have paper eyes as opposed to Fun Promotion's which have roll eyes .
