Klaus Klingner

Klaus Klingner (born December 14, 1935 in Potsdam ) is a German politician ( SPD ). From 1988 to 1996 he was Minister of Justice of Schleswig-Holstein .

Life

After graduating from high school in Hamburg in 1956 , Klingner studied law in Hamburg and Kiel , which he completed in 1960 with the first state examination and in 1964 with the second state examination . During his studies in Kiel he was active in the beating connection Landsmannschaft Troglodytia Kiel in the CC and hit several games. In 1964 he received his doctorate as Dr. jur. at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel . Since then he has worked as a judge .

Klaus Klingner is married and has two children. He lives in Bad Oldesloe.

politics

He has been a member of the SPD since 1966. In 1990, Klingner was the SPD's top candidate in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in the first state election after the fall of the Wall, but was unable to prevail against the CDU candidate Alfred Gomolka . From 1970 to 1971 Klingner belonged to the district council of the Stormarn district .

Klingner was then a member of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament from 1971 to 1996 . Here he was from 1975 to 1979 and from 1983 to 1988 deputy chairman of the SPD parliamentary group . From 1979 to 1983 he was chairman of the interior committee and 1987/88 chairman of the committee of inquiry into the Barschel / Pfeiffer affair .

Klingner was in 1988 and 1992 as directly selected delegates of the constituency else always Stormarn and on the national list drawn into the parliament.

Public offices

On May 31, 1988, he was appointed Minister of Justice to the state government of Schleswig-Holstein led by Prime Minister Björn Engholm . He kept this office under his successor Heide Simonis . After the state election in 1996, he left the government on May 22, 1996.
