Claus-Joachim von Heydebreck (born October 28, 1906 in Potsdam , † August 28, 1985 in Kiel ) was a German politician ( CDU ). From 1959 to 1964 he was President of the State Parliament of Schleswig-Holstein . From 1964 to 1969 he was Minister of Education and Minister of Justice from March to November 1969 for the State of Schleswig-Holstein .

Life and work

After graduating from high school , Heydebreck studied law and political science in Göttingen (member of the Corps Saxonia there ) and Berlin , which he completed in 1930 with the first state examination in law. He finished the subsequent legal clerkship in 1933 with the second state examination. From 1934 he worked as a lawyer in Berlin . From 1946 he was a lawyer and notary in Glückstadt . He was the son of the royal Prussian Colonel Hans von Heydebreck (1866-1935) and Emilie Lichtenberg (1869-1956).

Heydebreck married Hertha von Schierstädt on September 6, 1935 in Potsdam (born October 13, 1912 in Schöneberg near Berlin; † May 2, 1984 in Hohwacht ). There were four children from this marriage.

politics

Heydebreck was deputy state chairman of the CDU in Schleswig-Holstein from 1963 to 1967 and was a member of the federal executive committee of the Evangelical Working Group of the CDU. From 1948 to 1955 he was a member of the city council of Glückstadt and was also chairman of the CDU parliamentary group during this time . From 1954 to 1964 he was also a member of the district council of the Steinburg district and was also chairman of the CDU parliamentary group until 1962.

From 1958 to 1971 Heydebreck was a member of the Schleswig-Holstein Landtag. Here he was from 1958 to 1959 Chairman of the input Committee from June to September 1959 the committee of inquiry Parliament President Dr. Böttcher and from 1962 to 1964 of the Committee for the Protection of the Rights of the People's Representation. From September 29, 1959 to April 6, 1964 he was President of the State Parliament. Heydebreck has always entered the state parliament as a directly elected member of the Steinburg-Süd constituency .

Public offices

On April 7, 1964, he was appointed minister of education to the state government of Schleswig-Holstein led by Prime Minister Helmut Lemke . On March 28, 1969, he moved to the office of Minister of Justice, but left the office on November 2, 1969 on the occasion of a cabinet reshuffle.
