Kurt Hannemann

Kurt Hannemann (born June 5, 1923 in Templin ; † July 8, 2008 ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

In 1969 he was Minister of Culture of Schleswig-Holstein .

Life and work

After graduating from high school, Hannemann studied, interrupted by military service, law and theology at the universities in Berlin and Kiel . From 1954 to 1969 he worked as a pastor in Leezen and became a regional church councilor in Kiel. From 1970 until his retirement in 1981 he worked as a pastor in Bad Oldesloe .

Hannemann joined the CDU in 1955 and was a member of the district executive committee of the Christian Democrats in Bad Segeberg . On May 1, 1969, the political side entrant was unexpectedly appointed as minister of culture in the government of Schleswig-Holstein led by Prime Minister Helmut Lemke . During his tenure, he came under increasing public criticism due to the growing student unrest. After suffering a heart attack, he resigned from his ministerial office on November 2, 1969.
