Paul Rohloff (born December 15, 1912 in Hamburg ; † August 13, 2000 ) was a German politician ( CDU ). From 1964 to 1971 he was President of the State Parliament of Schleswig-Holstein.

Life and work

After graduating from a secondary school in Hamburg, Rohloff completed a law degree in Munich and Hamburg , which he completed with the first state examination . In the winter semester of 1933 he became a member of the Landsmannschaft Hannovera auf dem Wels (today Landsmannschaft Hansea auf dem Wels ) in Munich. At the University of Hamburg in 1939 took place its graduation to the Dr. jur. with the work "The legal position of the German labor front " . After his legal clerkship , he also passed the second state examination and then took part in the Second World War as a soldier . Subsequently, Rohloff initially worked as a company lawyer and later as a lawyer .

Paul Rohloff was married and had two children.

Rohloff joined the FDP in 1946 , but switched to the CDU in 1953. From 1955 he belonged to the district council of the Duchy of Lauenburg and was chairman of the CDU parliamentary group there from 1956 to 1964. From 1950 to 1954 he was a member of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament for the first time . There Rohloff left on 9 February 1951, the FDP -Landtagsfraktion and joined with the retired also from the FDP deputies Alexander Pracher for "German Collection" together. After he had attended the CDU parliamentary group on January 30, 1953, he finally became a member of the CDU parliamentary group on February 23, 1953.

From 1958 to 1971 Rohloff was again a member of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament. During this time he was deputy chairman of the CDU parliamentary group from January 11, 1963 to March 30, 1964 and President of the parliament from April 6, 1964 to May 15, 1971. Rohloff entered the state parliament in 1950 as a directly elected member of the Stormarn-Süd constituency and from 1958 onwards as a directly elected member of the Lauenburg-Süd constituency .
